ABOUT THE SPORTSMAN'S CLUB

HISTORY

The Club was founded in 1983 by a group of dedicated individuals wanting to set aside property to pursue their outdoor interests. The initial purchase of 40 acres in Mooreland Township saw the construction of the current Clubhouse in 1995, the pole barn as well as the pavilions for the Rifle Range and Pistol Range in 2000. Not long after their construction, the membership dedicated a portion of the property to the shotgun range and added the elevated platforms for the Archery Range. In 2011 the membership approved the purchase of an adjoining 40 acres to the south extending the Club's reach all the way to Bailey Road. In early 2017 the Club purchased an adjoining parcel of over 37 acres from Ravenna Schools making our current footprint nearly 120 contiguous acres.
